Q&A - Competition
How did you get started?
I have been riding mountain bikes for about 3 year’s with my kids. We went to Snow Shoe Mountain WV, in 2007 and had a really good time there and ended up going back there 3 times that summer. It was the first time we were introduced to downhill mtb and freeriding. I used to ride motocross & BMX when I was a teen and this was just as fun OK it was better. So that fall I stated looking for a place to ride locally and found a dirt jumping park and met some guys who also raced downhill. So I put my time I there building jump and ended up building dual slalom course that rocks! So in the spring of May, 2009 my son and I entered the 1st Gravity East series race at Massanutten VA, I finished 2nd and my son 3rd. We ended up traveling to 9 of the Gravity East series 11 races.
